Big Island Raised
Dagan was brought to the Island of Hawaii at the age of five to live on an avocado farm with his family is the rural area of South Kona. It is there that Dagan first learned the 'ukulele in elementary school and feel in love with the sounds of the old style of Hawaiian singing and the kanikapila sessions down at the beaches of Honaunau and Napo'opo'o. Later having moved to Kohala he was exposed to the sounds of traditional slack-key and the songs of the paniolo. Now an experienced singer-song writer with two albums of original music recorded here on the Big Island, Dagan continues to refine his craft through his songs of and about this place he calls home.
